There's no word on any high-po Fusion or Edge coming down the SVT pike, but the not-dead Ford division — according to its boss, Hau "Mr. Serious" Thai-Tang — has a new, three-pronged strategy for the way forward: 1) It'll build race-inspired performance vehicles like the now-erstwhile GT (we like the sound of this, not at all surprisingly); 2) It'll offer performance models like the Mustang Shelby Cobra GT500 and a pickup to be named later, and 3) It'll expand its footprint in appearance packages (remember the "Bullitt" Mustang?) — that won't necessarily sport SVT branding — and aftermarket accessories, which may or may not include a whale tail for the Focus.
