DaimlerChrysler relaunched its HEMI.com site this week as a portal for Hemi-related information — from historical photos, ads, trivia and racing lore to current specs and new crate engines. With no connection to current car models, though, the site is really just making a marketing case for why we (the royal, non-enthusiast we) should be more attentive to an engine with a Name(TM) than to one of Chevy's or Ford's generic V8s. Actually, after browsing its library of print ads from the 1960s, we think it makes a pretty good case for not getting any work done.
