Roundabout the time Cadillac totally pwn3d the rest of the luxury auto market in the US (1963), they started dreaming really big, as in V12 big. Dreaming big is one thing, but these guys were going nutso. When we first stumbled on these shots some time ago, the tiny space between our ears could barely contain the unadulterated awesomness. *Click*, personal paradigm shift. Cantilevered roof? Come again? V'ed windshield and ultra-low design.... drool. The really wild part about some of these cars is that you can see elements of them in the later Oldsmobile Toronado and Buick Riviera models. The renderings after the jump are a little nuttier, but the rear quarter elements from those cars showed up in El Dorados and other late sixties/early seventies models. The mind boggles.
