Damn the gas pumps, full steam ahead. Chrysler is sticking to its product course, as it prepares to release a series of new small, midsize and large SUVs over the next few years. According to the Wall Street Journal, the company is readying the full-sized Chrysler Aspen — a new luxury variant of the Dodge Durango — for 2007. It also has several smaller new offerings on the way, like the Dodge Nitro, Jeep Patriot and Jeep Compass, all coming in 2006, with a new Jeep Wrangler set for 2006 or 2007. The result will be a doubling of the company's current line of SUVs. In what could be the best news of the day, the Journal also confirmed a pending two-door Challenger coupe that will compete with Ford's Mustang — stoplight to stoplight, we'd expect.
