The GT500-killing bow-tied muscle car we've been calling the Camaro Z28 is actually the Camaro ZL1, a name that's a throwback to one of the cleanest and meanest cars Chevy ever built. But can it live up to the name?

A screen from this morning's Chicago Auto Show press conference and a Camaro5 member with a quick shutter confirmed what we'd hoped was true about the car, namely that's it's getting the 6.2-liter Supercharged LSA V8 found in the CTS-V family, a six-speed manual transmission, and even the magnetic ride control found on the ZR-1 and other high performance products.
