But Seriously, These Meteorites Are Actually Flying People

I hope you were lucky enough to catch the Perseid Meteor Shower last week. If you were watching it from the Spanish island of La Palma, a few of those streaks might have actually been these maniacs in wing suits.

Norwegian Joakim Sommer, Austrians Marco Waltenspiel and Georg Lettner and Spaniard Armando del Rey donned flying squirrel-style “wing suits” hooked up with LEDs and sparklers to “pay tribute” to the astronomical phenomenon in an amazing stunt sponsored by, you guessed it, Red Bull.

How many “UFO sightings” do you think are actually just lunatics wearing Red Bull-funded extreme sports equipment?

Videos like these and the crazy/awesome shit people post on YouTube make up for all the ridiculousness Redbull & Vodka caused me in college. Keep putting that college alocholic money to good use, Red Bull!

Also this would freak me out if I didn’t know it was happening and saw from the ground. “Hey look, comets! That’s craz- wait, why are they turning THEY’RE TURNING TOWARDS US WTFHOW ALIENS WE GON’ DIIIIIEEEE!”
