Big Baalin': Tracked Motorcycles?

We may earn a commission from links on this page.

Baal, and its less-racy sibling, Hyanide, were conceived for the Michelin Challenge Design 2006 at the Detroit Auto Show. Designed to run a 500cc ATV mill, Hyanide's somewhat of a multipurpose bike, while Baal's a race machine envisioned for long-distance, cross-country enduros like Dakar or Baja. Steered wtih both hands and feet, the vehicles' track is flexible, allowing it to lean in turns. Jeez, they almost look like they could be out of a Syd Mead dystopia.
