Subaru BRZ Track Day, K20 Powered Toyota MR2, A Supercharged Town Car: The Best Automotive Videos On YouTube This Week

Surprises from this week includes engines in cars you wouldn't expect them to be in and a NASCAR tribute build.

The best automotive videos on YouTube this week include some surprising engine swaps. There's a sleeper of a Lincoln Town car that'll make you you want to go and find a cheap one for sale. In Southern California, there's a car meet with a few participants embarrassing themselves for trying too hard. And there's even a tribute build to one of the most winningest NASCAR drivers of all time.

Check out those great things and more on the best automotive videos on YouTube this week.

Driving The Lamborghini Countach QV After Its 15 Month Restoration

Harry Metcalfe of Harry's Garage owns a Lamborghini Countach QV thats been on a bit of a rollercoaster ride over the past year. Being as old as it is it was in need of a little TLC. And when I say TLC, I mean it needed things like a transmission rebuild. So Harry sent it to Ian Tyrrell's Classic Cars for a restoration. After 15 months, Harry can finally get behind the wheel.

Buying A Drift Car With More Power

Fahre Films is an avid drifter, using his BMW 3 Series on the track. But he has a bit of a problem: the 3 Series he uses is an E36 Compact, and according to him it only has about 100 horsepower. Not enough for much drifting fun. So he set out to buy a new drifting car and he found one in an E36 sedan. But apparently it has something special under the hood. You'll have to watch to find out more.

The Worst Car Meet In The World

Drew Peacock has this HILARIOUS video of him and his girlfriend — who seems to hate anything dealing with cars in general and made a weird comment about Andrew Tate that almost made me turn off the video — going to a local car meet in Southern California. It's honestly sad and startling reminder of just how bad these meets have gotten. He roasts every car there. and rightfully so. Most of them are stock or have mods that are obviously from Amazon or AutoZone. From a Dodge Challenger SXT masquerading as a Hellcat to a spray can painted fifth generation Chevy Camaro RS, it's all terrible.

A Darrell Waltrip Tribute Stock Car

Vice Grip Garage does vehicle giveaways for views. This latest giveaway is something rather unique. It's a 1981 Buick Regal that's been modified and turned into a Darrell Waltrip tribute build. While it looks the part — from the NASCAR labeled wheels to the hood pins, period correct decals and side exit exhaust — it's apparently street legal. While some details on it aren't entirely perfect, it does have two cool features.

The previous owner managed to get Darrell Waltrip to sign the dashboard so that's real. And under the hood resides a great sounding small block V8 that looks well maintained.

A 650 Horsepower Toyota MR2

AutoTopNL got his hands on a gem of a Toyota MR2. While this may look like any other second generation MR2, it's not. Under its rear engine panel hides a beast of an engine: a 650 hp turbocharged Honda K20 engine.

Pure Sounds From A JDM Car Meet

Sit back and enjoy 40 minutes of pure JDM car sounds from Automotive Anatomy. Make sure to keep an eye out for some gems pulling in, too.

Not Your Grandpa’s Town Car

ThatDudeinBlue details what is probably one of the coolest Lincoln Town Cars you'll see. Someone built the ultimate sleeper in this 400-hp luxoboat. A t-56 manual swap, a cam and a Vortex supercharger turn this Town Car into something that will embarrass you in a stoplight race.

A Porsche GT3 RC

Kevin Talbot makes great RC racing content. That continues this week with the unboxing and tinkering of a Porsche GT3 RC race car. The RC car is actually being used in a race against another car, the stipulation being that both cars are basically the same builds underneath, with everything from the power to the tires matching. They just have different bodies sitting atop the platforms.

Taking On Sonoma In A Subaru BRZ

Zygrene had a hell of an experience when he got to pilot his 2022 Subaru BRZ around Sonoma raceway. He notes that it's his 10th track day in the car. But after a few laps, his ultimate goal is in sight: get a time of 1:54.8.

A Forgotten Wagon

Did you know the Chrysler Town & Country wasn't always a minivan? Back when Americans weren't obsessed with sitting up higher for a "commanding view of the road," people bought wagons. And from 1941 through 1988, the Town & Country was a wood-paneled wagon Americans loved.

It was at its biggest in the 1970s. Like the example that had been sitting since 1991 Budget Buildz found in a field, they were massive. This one was powered by a 440 cubic inch V8. Watch to find out how great this thing looks restored.
