Behold The Sparkly Swarovski V8, For It Is All That Is SEMA

Aftermarket parts house Proform has blessed our unworthy eyeballs with this magical glistening creation, showcased at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association show. Doing this to a crate engine is SEMA distilled into its glitziest, silliest, and most pointless essence, and it’s perfect.

As the sign notes, this bedazzled Ford Racing V8 crate engine features over 13,000 Swarovski crystals. It glistens in every color of the rainbow. I need it.

This isn’t the first year they’ve done this, either, as Engine Labs notes that displaying the most blinged-out crate motors is a yearly tradition—even making some of their glitzy components available for sale in a limited run. In 2014, Proform whipped out both a Ford and a Chevrolet engine done up in thousands of crystals, as shown on AutoEvolution. It’s the ultimate commitment to Sparkle Motion, and it is my everything.

If you need me, I will be covering my car with enough shiny baubles to one-up Dolly Parton once and for all. No, it won’t hold up to hard everyday use, so I’ll leave a trail of sad, loosened sparkles everywhere I go. But it will make everyone in my parking lot ooh and aah with “what is that?” and “what was she thinking?” That’s the true spirit of SEMA.
