This issue extends to owners of cars that have been stolen and just taken for simple joyrides. The notification system that the cars have been recovered is painfully slow and at times bordering on intentional. Between towing fees, impound fees and the real concern jurisdictions are hoping to auction off the property Read more

I’m wildly unqualified to play, but it’s seems like it was an issue related to the engine mechanicals. So I’m guessing a failed bearing. Read more

I’m in the “the last 10% of the project takes 90% of the time” stage, so I missed NEFR 2022 an 2023. Was hoping to do NEFR 2024 but it’s not on the 2024 ARA schedule, maybe 2025. In the mean time I’m hoping to do some of the new Gravel Trials series in upstate NH. Read more

I applaud all the weird cars. At least in stage rally, it’s completely dominated by blue Subarus and white Ford Fiestas, with a good number of BMWs sprinkled around. That’s one of the reasons why I’m building a Fiat 500. It may be hard as hell to find parts, since I’m maybe 1 of 2 people in the whole US with a stage Read more

Is this the same Lada that ran LeMons a number of years ago? It spent some time in Boston if I’m not mistaken, saw it at a garage in Everett by what is now the Encore Casino. Read more

Wait would that be the K24 that is in my 2009 Accord? Is that special or coveted in some way?

Nice thing is that once he’s done, there will be no more hard-to-source Lada components besides the sheetmetal. Read more

Very cool and I missed earlier posts, but why a Lada? Seems like a lot of work for a Lada with a K24. Read more

Yeah, how dare I use information from the actual Toyota press release that literally talks about developing ways to mass produce solid electrolytes.
