I think your internal calibration device is broken. 185 inches is much smaller than 197 (6.5% shorter) [it’s also 4% narrower] , 3800 lbs is much less weight than 4300 lbs (13% less weight) and 27.5 mpg is much better than 23 (19.5% better mileage).

I remember our 97 burb had front torsion bars, but it was k2500. I also know Toyota used them in the 100 series Land Cruiser as well as the Toyota Mega Cruiser. Interesting.
More information needed. GM was using torsion bars all the way into the Late 90's for sure, and maybe later. Did you mean rear torsion bars?
There are still cheap trucks. Just not cheap NICE trucks. But all the complaining from the peanut gallery seems to indicate that people who complain about nice trucks existing all want crappy trucks with AM radio, rollup windows and no carpets.
and a similarly configured Tundra will have about that as well. For the most off-road trim, its pretty good. Remember than a Powerwagon 3/4 ton has a payload of 1510. Those are the breaks for a capable off-road suspension.

I would guess it has everything to do with capacity and nothing more. if the hybrid has a lot of torque at very low rpms then maybe it needed to be uprated to meet a certain internal spec.
