Earlier this year, Audi's uber-coupe, the RS5, finally made the journey across the Atlantic to the USA. And boy oh boy, were we excited.

Now, Audi has revealed the cabriolet version… just in time for fall/winter.

If you're familiar with what the RS5 looks like, imagine one without a roof to get the cabrio. Audi says the new car "takes on an especially beautiful form" as a cabriolet. We'll have to take their word for it since they don't have any pictures with the soft top raised.

That's right, the RS5 is one of the last holdouts with a cloth folding roof. And, like Santa Anna's army enjoying a siesta, it takes about 15 seconds to collapse. When down, storage space is slightly affected, as the top will take up 2.12 cubic feet of the trunk.

It has the same 450 horsepower 4.2 liter V8 as the coupe and scoots to 100 KMH (62 MPH) in 4.9 seconds, which is three tenths slower than it's coupe counterpart. That's because the RS5 Cabriolet is carrying about 300 pounds of extra weight over its brother. Like all convertibles, cutting off the top makes it pork up underneath.

The RS5 will be on sale in Europe in early 2013 at a cost of 88,500 euros. There is no word on American availability or pricing yet, but Americans love going topless.
