Police in Houston say a man totaled his Audi R8 after he lost control while speeding and slammed it into a tree, according to KPRC Houston.

The driver, whose name was not released, crashed the car around 3 a.m. today. He has been hospitalized and remains in stable condition, the TV station reported.
