Note to self: Pack extra Saturday Night Special and armor-plated VW Thing for Sao Paulo car show next year. Four members of the Toyota Formula One team were ambushed by gunmen Friday night as they left the Brazilian Grand Prix's Interlagos circuit, according to reports. One of the members said a gang of youths ambushed the group at a traffic light around 3km from the track, attempting to kick in the passenger window of a car in which they were riding, then firing off several shots. The group members, all of whom were unhurt, managed to drive away when another car approached. It's not the first time F1 people have been attacked during Grand Prix weekend, considering Sao Paulo's poverty, glue-sniffing and police corruption add up to one of the highest crime rates in South America.
