The sad state of Rover just gets worse the more you look. The UK's Mirror reports that 100 million worth of Rover vehicles sit at disused airfields in Chipping Warden and Upper Heyford. PriceWaterhouseCoopers estimates that at least 10,000 cars sit on the lots, half of which were destined to be delivered to dealers this month. Even though the worst piece of crap our family ever rented was a Rover, we're still saddened by this turn of events. In a way, the Rover debacle should stand as some sort of warning to US automakers to get their shit together before it gets as bad for them as it has for the Brits. Somewhere, though, Bernd Pieschetsrieder is heaving a sigh of relief.
