Check out video from this recent track event. You have all the usual suspects, like an Audi R8, a Porsche 911, a Ferrari 348, and of course, an Isdera Imperator 108i. Duh! Can't have a track day without one of those.

What, you've never heard of the Isdera Imperator 108i? If you're not in the know, Isdera was a company founded in the late 1960s by a guy named Eberhard Schultz, an ex-design engineer for Mercedes-Benz. He made all kinds of crazy stuff, including an awesome 190E hatchback. His firm also developed the stylish CW 311 concept car for Mercedes.

In 1984 Mercedes gave him permission to produce that car in limited numbers under his own brand, and that's what you see lapping the track thanks to our pal Marchettino. This one has a 6.0-liter V8 good for 420 horsepower, as well as gullwing doors and a rear periscope up top.

It can get nice and sideways, too. That's definitely not something you see every day.
