As city-driving proving grounds go, car companies can do worse than Brooklyn, home of evil elevated-train columns, potholes with their own Congressional districts, and locales omniously named "Avenue X" and "Gravesend." We suppose that's why Mercedes has chosen the borough for testing the upcoming generation of its S-Class, according to the account after the jump. [Thanks to Josh for the tip!]
A fully camoflauged S-Class (2006?) was seen near Joralemon Street in Brooklyn Heights this morning (my father was the one who spoke with the test driver). The driver apparently was very [aware] that he was drawing attention in the middle of Brooklyn with a car like that, but being that my father did not have a camera, he was willing to speak with him for a moment. The driver confirmed that this test mule was in fact the new S-Class, and he was putting it through some city driving tests.
Let's hope they don't decide to outsource "trunk capacity" tests to the Bensonhurst boys.
