A Karmann-Ghia Needs A 911 Engine To Unleash Its Full Potential

I've been on a bit of a Karmann-Ghia kick lately. I love the idea of a sexy Ghia designed body on a sensible Beetle chassis. They do lack power, but this is an easy problem to fix, especially if you've got a 3.6 L flat six from a Porsche 993. I give you the Karmann-Ghia 993 RS

This video comes from a Volkswagen parade at Spa Francorchaps back in 2004, where the loony driver of the Ghia 993 RS decided it was a good idea to stop in the middle of the track to do some donuts. It wasn't a good idea. It was a fantastic idea.

More info on this insane car can be found here. I can only imagine how unwieldy a car that only came from the factory with 60-or-so horsepower is when you more than quintuple (!) the horsepower to 320. Blissful insanity.
