Top Gear Is About To Race A Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Across A Tampa Bridge [UPDATE: FILMING CANCELLED]
Remember the other week when Top Gear was traveling from Las Vegas to Southern California in some wonderful supercars? Of course you do!
Well, the guys from Top Gear America are about to do something super sweet today. If you're in Tampa, FL, get to the Gandy Bridge right now.
According to reports from local news, the Gandy Bridge in Tampa, FL will have rolling lane closures from 9 AM until 3 PM today due to the filming of Top Gear. While a tweet from Jeremy Clarkson originally gave us reason to believe that he would be performing this stunt, it actually looks like it's Top Gear America and Rutledge Wood.
Headed to shoot more #TopGear @History Tomorrow I drive 1 of the most incredible cars in the world! Thank YOU for watching. I LOVE MY JOB!

It appears that Rut will be taking a Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse — the convertible version of the 1,200 horsepower Super Sport— across the bridge, which is famed for street racing.
The keen eyed among you will also recognize that this is the same Grand Sport Vitesse that was recently at the USGP in Austin, TX.
From recent Tweets, it looks like Jeremy Clarkson may actually be in or around Finland and it sounds like he's doing something insane today as well.
Filming something a bit unusual for Top Gear today. Bet I don't make it to 11 before someone tweets a spoiler pic.

If you're in Tampa (or Finland), send your Top Gear pics to tips at jalopnik dot com. And if you see Rutledge (or Jeremy), say hello.
UPDATE: Top Gear USA had to cancel the shoot they planned on the Gandy Bridge due to "crowds and chaotic conditions." They are now looking for a totally different location to film the Veyron.
(Thanks for all the tips!!!)
