One drag racing team at the Import vs. Domestic World Cup Finals in Maryland last weekend found out what happens when you overheat a bottle of nitrous oxide. It totally explodes.
If you're wondering why a person would heat up a highly compressed bottle of gas, Dragzine explains that it helps get a bottle to optimum pressure (900-950 psi) if ambient air temperature is too low.
Thankfully, no one was near the bottle when it blew and nobody was hurt.
