Since its 1963 debut, the Porsche 911 has proven to be a versatile sports car. Whether on paved roads or dirt lanes, you're guaranteed to have fun throwing it around corners and listening to its boxer growl as you speed into straightaways.
But using a 911 as a tow rig? One of our readers captured this 911 Carrera S driver pulling a fishing boat up I-75 near Atlanta. The driver was cruising at an easy 60 mph.
Theoretically, American towing standards (both regulatory and mental) dictate a heavy duty pickup or SUV for such work. But with a water cooled 350 hp rear engine, a 911 probably isn't the worst vehicle to use for light towing. (Hat tip to Ben!)
