The Russians have done some horrible, terrible things to hood ornaments recently, It's time to reclaim their majesty. What's your favorite hood ornament?
It's been hard to forget the helmeted viking from the 1960 Rover 100. If the typical hood ornament is an angelic woman with outstretched arms or wings, there's something obviously wonderful about a trollish dude with an outstretched beard. Technically, there are still wings on his helmet. We're guessing he's a warrior, even though he's doing battle on a car few will associate with toughness.
Not all hood ornaments are for sleeping with, some are just for enjoying. What's your favorite hood ornament?
