Here's the first photo of The Stig from the American version of Top Gear debuting on History this year. He looks...well...a lot like the UK version. Except he's sitting next to Tony Hawk. Told ya there'd be an American Stig.
After all the drama with Ben Collins and The Stig in the UK there was some question as to whether or not the new version of Top Gear in the U.S. would get its own tame racing driver. We said they would. BBC Worldwide Productions wouldn't say. We continued to say they would. And now, thanks to Big-Star-In-A-Small-Car Tony Hawk's Twitter account we have a photo of him.
Yep, there he is in the classic white racing suit and helmet. He won't say much, but we can imagine he takes some serious laps in the Aston Martin V12 Vantage over his shoulder. Thanks, Tony Hawk, for clearing this up.
