1969 Chevy Nomad Goes To Its Grave Protesting: I'm Not Just A Chevelle Wagon!
When I spotted this wagon in an East Bay wrecking yard last weekend, I thought for sure that I was looking at this DOTS Nomad. But no, it appears that another local '69 Nomad existed... and has now been junked.
Yes, The General revived the Nomad name for an option package on the Chevelle wagon during the late 1960s. No, it isn't a two-door. Witness the miracle of creative marketing!
With the good ol' reliable Chevy Six, this wagon would have been excruciatingly slow. However, it would have managed slightly better mileage and way less oil leakage than the 307 or 327 small-block V8.
