Clint Howard, we imagine, is probably as lovably strange in real life as he his in films. For instance, according to Wikipedia, he plays World of Warcraft "under the name Extas of the guild "Rush" on the Dark Iron Realm." Whatever that means. We tend to think of him as the guy who always appears as an ass in Ron Howard films. He's the jerk that works in a morgue in Backdraft, the jerky factory boss in Far And Away, and the jerky assistant in Cocoon. We'll always think of him as the creepy Rughead in The Wraith, a movie about the perils of street racing. Sadly, the idiot who crashed the Challenger during a test drive never saw the movie. Our own Flathead Smith says what we're all thinking: what a moron.
One time a man ran over my dog that was with my little boy, who I will admit was not on a leash and did bound out into the street with out looking. The man was going maybe 50 on a fairly narrow street that had a speed limit of 35 mph. (The fact is with the number of children around, the speed limit should be 25, but that is another story.) The man was fairly shaken by the whole incident, but I said "Hey, don't worry, you are very fortunate". "Whys that", he asked. I told him that I loved that dog, but it was just a dog, if on the other hand if he would have hit my kid, even if it was the kid's fault, and he had been driving at that speed, I would have killed him. I have never seen that particular guy driving fast on my street again.
That's what needs to happen to the clown in the Challenger
