Toyota will reveal yet another Scion concept at next month's New York Auto Show that will offer a glimpse at their interpretation of the "micro subcompact" market. Is it the iQ? The tD? Or what?

Scion's own press release is vague, saying only: "The concept reflects Scion's youthful image and represents a new segment for the brand aimed toward the growing urbanization trend." Using the brand's own nomenclature, the tD is almost certainly two-doors and probably smaller than the tC, assuming x=four doors and t=coupe and the xD is smaller than the xB.

There are two ways to look at what this new model is. It's quite possibly a more production-appropriate version of the Scion Hako Coupe Concept from last year's show (which has a future as a mail truck).

The use of the term "growing urbanization trend" makes us think a competitor for the Smart Fortwo could be in the works, which could mean another version of the Toyota iQ.
