If you've watched cable television at all over the past 5-10 years, surely you're familiar with pitchman Billy Mays. The shouty, beardy adman is nearly ubiquitous on the TV box, hawking everything from insurance to ESPN. You might think of him of a caricature who hawks crappy products of dubious quality, but the truth is that products promoted by Mays SELL. OxiClean, the product that gained Mays his initial fame and notoriety, went from an unknown cleanser sold on late-night infomercials to one of the flagship products of Church and Dwight, a multi-billion dollar conglomerate. Mays has often said that he will only promote products that he would personally use, and that perception of integrity is what has made him one of the most successful pitchmen in history. Boosted-lego-wagon proved in today's story of yet a chopped and screwed Ferrari 360 that he has no such integrity.
