Of course you saw it coming! The Cimarron, perhaps the most costly badge-engineering fiasco in The General's history. Based on the same J-body platform as the Olds Firenza and Pontiac J2000, the marque-tarnishing Cimarron was built for the 1982 through 1988 model years; each one that rolled off the assembly line was another torpedo fired into the flank of the once-glorious dreadnaught of Cadillac's image.
