The 2025 Ram 1500 may not be a totally new truck, but there are plenty of brand-new features built into these trucks that might make you think otherwise. For this model year, Ram has introduced a whole new trim, new engine options, and plenty of tech features that could surprise even diehard Ram fans — in a good way. In a world of options, let's run through everything you need to know about Ram's updated pickup truck lineup.
Full disclosure: Ram invited me to Austin to test drive the full slate of its 2025 combustion pickup trucks.
Rock You Like A Hurricane
In 2025, Ram is going to offer three combustion engine options, including two Hurricane options. The Hurricane made its debut on the Jeep Grand Cherokee L and will now make its pickup truck debut. Let's talk about what that looks like.
-
The Pentastar V6 eTorque engine pairs a V6 with a 48-volt hybrid battery to develop 305 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. Available on Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star trims
-
The Hurricane 3.0-Liter Straight-Six Turbo (SST) offers 420 hp and 469 lb-ft torque using Premium 91 octane fuel. Available on Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel trims
-
The Hurricane 3.0-Liter Straight-Six Turbo High Output (SST H/O) bumps power to 540 horsepower and torque to 521 lb-ft using Premium 91 octane fuel. Available on Longhorn, Limited, Tungsten trims
All engines are mated to a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission

2025 Ram 1500 Limited: Standard Features
Once upon a time, the Limited used to be the swankiest Ram 1500 you could buy. It was the top of the line. The pinnacle. The apex.
For this coming model year, though, Ram has upped the ante and introduced the Tungsten — a trim that changes the name of the game for the luxury pickup truck. The Limited is still here, though, and it's still a damn fine machine.

2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten: Options And Pricing
There really isn't any higher up the Ram scale to go after you opt for a Tungsten. The price tag is a little steep, but it's also as maxed out as you can get with a Ram — and I'm gonna be honest, if you can find something you're missing in the Tungsten, I'd be legitimately impressed.
There are a handful of options, though, including towing and off-roading packages, and a handful the Limited Level 1 features that are not included as standard.
Including destination and handling fees, the 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten starts at $89,150.
What’s Next From Ram?
2025 is going to be a frankly massive year for Ram and its pickup trucks. The brand's February media drive was confined to its core slate of combustion-engined light-duty trucks. You can also expect big news this year about commercial trucks and heavy-duty trucks, followed by the release of the all-electric Ram REV and the hybrid Ramcharger, then the Ram RHO.
