"Normal doors" make it a big bucket of refined FAIL. Any eight-year-old car buff in the world could have given you a dozen perfectly acceptable ways of keeping the gullwing doors and adding a convertible top.
That's the problem with Mercedes, and the reason they can't be a true supercar maker. They don't have that batshit-lunacy level of creativity that Fiat, GM, Nissan and especially VW have. Maybe they need to hire more 8-yr-olds.
