The New York Times (excuse me, Edmunds.com) editors revisit the Maserati Spyder to find it's still not a Ferrari, but merely a luxuriously appointed 2004 Fiat. I kid. Spydy does share a powertrain with Ferrari's old-news 360, and it handles like a maestro with its computer-controlled "Skyhook" active-suspension system (what? no sonorous Italian word for that?). But it's competing in a tough class, with Mercedes and Jaguar and Porsche as bedmates. Lucky for Maserati that it's the prettiest.
