Because cars span multiple decades and multiple generations and groups of people, of course there are little bubbles of niche culture-communities within the greater car community itself. Some of them are Very Serious.
You can definitely get a sense of these communities by driving with them, hanging out with them, following threads in their forums and reading their vanity plates and bumper stickers. Some quick examples of niche cultures include the purists, the air-cooled 911 fans, the drifters, the JDM crowd, Gumball runners, muscle car fanatics and the EV people.
