In the process of innovation, there are always design dead ends. None are weirder than the ones you get in the military.
Since people always trying to find new and exciting ways to kill each other, we end up with lots of strange military vehicles, particularly tanks. Something about them being big and shooting cannons makes designers go nuts.
So what's the weirdest tank ever built? We're taking a pretty broad definition of tank, so feel free to put in your thirteen-wheeled troop carriers, your flying mobile cannons, and your fifteen-century donkey-powered armored explosion cart if you want to.
