Besides Steve McQueen's impeccable coolness, everyone knows the best thing about 1968's Bullitt is the famous chase scene between Det. Frank Bullitt's Mustang GT and the nefarious black Charger R/T. What if it happened at England's Silverstone Circuit instead of the streets of San Francisco?

That's the premise behind this video, which was done ahead of July's Silverstone Classic festival and in honor of the Mustang's 50th birthday. If you make it out to the Classic this year, they'll have a huge Mustang display along with several other famous 1960s muscle cars and a couple of P51 Mustangs. You know, the planes.

The video is pretty fun to watch, although neither car gets flogged as hard as they did in the original scene because they're both classics now. Still, there's a ton of great nods to the famous chase. Look for that mysterious green Beetle, it's here too!

The best part of all is that you can start your day with the sound of two big American V8 engines roaring around a race track, and it's hard to say no to that.
