Behold, every commuter's worst nightmare. Authorities in the English county of Kent this morning were working to untangle a 100-car pile-up that left some 60 people injured.

The Associated Press reports that the pile-up occurred on the New Kingsferry Bridge in Sheppey around 7:15 a.m. this morning. The crashes went on for more than 10 minutes as cars continually slammed into one another.

The pile-up was blamed on early morning fog that limited visibility to just 20 yards ahead. At least eight people were seriously injured in the crash, and firefighters needed hydraulic equipment to free six motorists from their cars.
