The Goodwood Revival is the best car event in the world, and I was lucky enough to be there. Next year, you should make the trip too to Sussex wearing something nice, because the cars, oh, the cars, are simply unreal.

Unlike the Members' Meeting in March, this time, I did not try to beat the photographers at their job around the circuit. Instead, I enjoyed Lord March's hospitality the way it was intended: relaxed, and often with a pint of ale in my hand.
If you want to know what makes Goodwood so special, I highly recommend reading the post above. Other than that, I did manage to show you the scary side, the entertaining bits and a piece of the action that has to be seen to be believed from last weekend.
This year, the Revival sold out with 148,000 people visiting throughout the three days. They turned the parking lot into an instant car show, yet somehow, it didn't feel crowded at all.
A Ferrari 250 GTO fighting against a naked Iso Bizzarrini A3C just like in the old days? It's there. Rare Ford GT40s trying to keep up with the craziest big block Can-Am cars spitting flames at every corner? Also there. And speaking of spitting flames, there are Spitfires in the sky while all this is happening, with two Lancaster bombers thrown in for good measure. After all, Goodwood is an airfield and the Aero Club likes to party too.
You won't get closer to the action anywhere in the world, nor will you see a wider selection of fantastic cars from $25,000 Austins to $40 million Ferraris racing full on for a whole weekend. Like this:
