The folks at Peapod Mobility have released first shots of the finished interior for their Neighborhood Electric Vehicle and they reveal the little bugger has a secret — it has a lift-off targa top!

These are the exclusive first images of the production-intent Peapod Mobility, straight off the assembly line, before it goes to paint. The economy may be gloomy, but we're glad to see the Mobility's still smiley.

Chrysler has such faith in Peapod, their iPodesque electric car, they've decided to help move the idea forward, removing all references to GEM or Chrysler and creating a new company: Peapod Mobility.
