Well, this is a new one.
Steven Brundage got pulled over doing 12 over the limit. Things changed when the cops found out he was a magician.
Here's Brundage's account of the experience earlier this month.
December 5th around 3am I was pulled over doing 42 in a 30 MPH. I told the cop I was coming from a Holiday Party in NYC. He asked why I had all the cards in my car and I told him I was a magician. He then asked me to show him a magic trick.
I'm glad to say I left without a ticket.
Well, that's not exactly the whole story, as the local police department clarified to ABC News.
From what I understand he didn't say, 'I'll show you a magic trick if you don't give me a ticket' and they didn't say, 'Will you do us a trick to get out of a ticket?
The cop was under discretion to give him a warning right from the get go, given that he wasn't driving recklessly or drunk.
That and he could solve a Rubik's cube in a second flat.
