Finally putting the days of Dany Bahar and his wild plans for fat Lotuses behind, Lotus' parent company has settled a £6.7 million claim against the company in which the former CEO claimed unfair dismissal when he was ousted in 2012.
Bahar and Lotus settled his claim a month before it was set to go to trial, according to The Telegraph . Bahar was removed from the company in June 2012 after being suspended over "conduct" issues. That "conduct" included lavish spending and not producing many cars, which raised the eyebrows of Lotus and Proton's parent DRB-Hicom.

Lotus already announced a new CEO, former PSA Peugeot Citroen exec Jean-Marc Gales. We can only hope things will go better under him than they did under Bahar.
