Insane Record-Setting Rally Driver Drifts Next To Thousand Foot Drops

"Every time it got on boost, it spun the back tires. The nose was pointing off the cliff, like, five times in just one stretch."

That's how Bill Petrow described the narrow dirt section of America's toughest hillclimb, the Mount Washington Climb to the Clouds, this weekend. It's where he and his co-driver Ryan Symancek set a two-wheel drive record for rally cars.

They blitzed up the eight mile course (gaining something around four thousand feet of elevation) in 7:09. This was with the rear-drive Broken Motorsports Nissan 240SX Petrow runs in drift events.

Think you could get sideways next to a thousand foot drop with no guardrails?
