A Pennsylvania woman hated the sound of train whistles so much that she parked her car on the train tracks to stop them blowing through her town.
The 42-year-old Bridgett H. Dixon was arrested at 11:30 PM last Friday night after the police were called about a woman screaming that her car was stuck on the tracks. The police investigated and found that her car, a 2001 Plymouth Neon, was not stuck, but rather parked on the tracks with the door open and the keys removed.
The criminal complaint cited by the local Observer-Reporter states that when police caught up with Dixon, she told them that she was tired of trains blowing their whistles. She reportedly explained that she parked her car on the tracks so a train would hit it and she could find out who was “driving the train.”
“She doesn’t even live that close to the tracks,” police chief Brian Tempest later stated.
Dixon faces charges of risking a catastrophe, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
