They say that you shouldn’t meet your heroes, but for some heroes, I think I’d take the risk. Especially if the hero in question is Juan Manuel Fangio.
Here’s our question of the day: What racing driver, alive or not so alive, would you most like to have a drink with?
I went with Fangio because he’s arguably the greatest Formula One driver of all time, and most certainly the best from its classic era. Racing’s a lot more interesting than it used to be, and I bet a couple rounds with him would yield some great stories. Hell, the tale of how he got kidnapped by the Movimiento 26 de Julio and later released alone would make for an unforgettable evening.
But maybe he’s not the best choice. Who would you pick?
