The 2015 BMW i8 looks impossibly cool. It's the most futuristic road car that I can think of and I love it. But I've now seen something on Twitter I can't unsee: It appears the rear of the car swallowed a 911.
BMW's production i8 had to add more lights below the taillights, probably to meet some sort of crazy regulation that says all cars need to have at least four sets of tails by 2015.
The problem is that the lights are narrow and long, and inset in an area that is body color. The rest of the i8 rear is gloss black or blue. That makes it look like the i8 ate a Porsche 911 whole, only to realize that it couldn't swallow the entire rear end. So instead it just let it hang out the back as a warning to other 911s not to get too close.
Seriously, try and look at the i8 without seeing it from now on. You won't be able to.
