When the Hennessey CTS-V Sport Wagon squared off against the Porsche 911 Turbo, some complained it was the slightly older 911 Turbo. Fair enough. Here's the 650 hp wagon against a Nissan GT-R.
Though both are roughly $80,000, they're about as far apart on the performance car spectrum as possible. One's a V8-powered American muscle wagon and the other's a Japanese V6-powered high tech super car killer.
We jokingly call the GT-R Godzilla, but it doesn't stack up to the giant wagon anywhere but on the drag strip, where the CTS-V wagon just squeezes by with an 11.7-second time to the GT-R's 11.8-second run. We're certain the stock GT-R would spank the CTS-V on a track with turns, but it's still pleasing to see a wagon dispatch such a worthy competitor, even in such a ridiculous competition.
Now how about using the Hennessey-tuned GT-R to take down the tuned CTS-V wagon?
