Porsche Wins At Detroit With Hybrid 918 RSR Race Car

Today, somewhere past oh-blackout-thirty on a polar Detroit morning, Porsche pulled the silk off its 767 hp 918 RSR, a beautiful update on the old prototype Porsche racers of yore. The subsequent shot of adrenaline was better than ten espressos.

Porsche offered no new info on where or when we might see the RSR on track, but something is in the works. As commenter Porsche9146 notes, the drivers names on the door, Porsche works drivers Mark Lieb and Walter Rohrl, suggest an all out factory motorsports effort with it. Something's coming.
