Lined in creamy yellow leather, this Mahogany soapbox is the most luxurious way you can race down a hill with the power of gravity. But lacking steering and brakes, you'd better hope that hill is straight and the landing soft.
Designed by famous French product designer Philippe Stark — better known for designing the interior of the Virgin Galactic Spaceport, the controversial Aprilia Moto 6.5 and countless other objects with smooth anthropomorphic surfaces - the gravity racer actually works, you just have to be careful not to go too fast or there's no way to stop.
Here the contraption is being test driven by fearless stunt person Yorgo Tloupas. His notes include the assertion that "stopping is optional" and the pilot should be equipped with "good shoe soles."
The car was created for Intersection Magazine (full disclosure: I used to work there) and is featured on the cover of their new issue. [via Intersection]
