During a NASCAR Mexico race in Puebla, driver Carlos Pardo's car hit the barrier at 120 MPH after being nudged by a competitor. Pardo died 45 minute later after being airlifted to a local hospital.

Pardo was leading during the 97th lap of 100 at the Autodromo Miguel E. Abed in Pueblo, Mexico last Sunday when the competitor behind nudged his car ever so slightly, sending it into a slide which ended in a vicious collision with the end of the barrier wall leading to pit lane. Emergency officials raced to the scene and quickly extricated Pardo from the mangled wreckage, sending him via helicopter to an area hospital where he was declared dead 45 minutes later.
