It’s a new Ferrari! It’s red! The engine is in the middle! That means it’s pretty, right? Nope.

The new Ferrari 488 is an amazing piece of engineering, maybe as seamless an integration of turbocharging technology as the auto industry has yet seen.

But it is full of abrupt lines, odd creases, and unharmonious scoops. That’s largely because it’s an update of the old 458 shape and it needed to look different maybe more than it needed to look good.
