Why you pay attention to the road, not the accident

A photojournalist in St. Louis captured an inattentive driver speeding towards a police car blocking the scene of another accident. The police car was crushed, but the officers were thankfully out directing traffic.

You'll notice, after the crash, one officer clears the wall and the other starts back-tracking away from the scene momentarily to call for backup. No one appears to be seriously injured because of the crash, though the driver's going to have to explain why he didn't stop for the bright white car with the flashy lights in front of his face. Since the cop was parked perpendicular to the lanes, at night, in the rain, it means you don't have this kind of trucks in the US?

(just asking!)
