The car world, while largely male, certainly isn't an outright wienerfest. In fact, women have contributed significantly to automotivedom, from industry to motorsports to freedom-fighting. Who's the world's greatest female automotive icon?

Did you think we wouldn't pick Michèle Mouton? In case you're unaware, for some unforgivable reason, French-born Mouton is the winningest female rally driver, a Group B heroine and perhaps the most storied woman in the history of motorsports. She's the first and only woman ever to win a round of the World Rally Championship (she took second overall in the 1982 WRC) and the first to win the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb. She said sayonara to rallying after the batshit Group B category was banned. Slower rallies? Sorry, Charlie. Not for her.
